The first signal heralding the onset of bedsores are local changes in the epidermis (erythema, tenderness, softening and damage of the epidermis). An important element of bedsore prevention at this stage is regular inspection and percussion of reddened spots, as well as massaging of a protective formulation with antibacterial, antifungal and circulation stimulating properties, e.g. ALEZIN.
